Technical Specification

Body Type Two-seater sports convertible. Unstressed GRP outer skin.
Chassis Type Composite central monocoque with tubular steel front and rear sub frames.
Suspension Front: Independent by wishbones and rocker arms with inboard telescopic dampers and
concentric coil springs.
Rear: Live axle on coil springs with telescopic dampers, parallel lower trailing arms and
angled upper radius rods.
Steering Rack and pinion.
Engine Type Four cylinder in-line, overhead camshaft, inclined at 45 degrees. Water cooled.
Transmission Four speed all-synchro, with optional overdrive on 3rd and 4th. Five speed (TR-7) all-synchro
(with minor modification) or Borg Warner Type 65 automatic.

  *NB: Power output figures are for a standard engine as fitted to the Dolomite. When fitted to the Latham F2 the fan is removed and the exhaust system replaced by a less restrictive type. These modifications alone should give an increase of some 10-15bhp.

*In practice, these figures proved to be very conservative, and a Sprint engined F2 was easily capable of higher speeds than this, with an 1850 powered car matching the figures quoted here
